On this day 2nd October

1470– A rebellion organised by Richard Neville, 16th Earl of Warwick (the Kingmaker) forces King Edward IV of England to flee to the Netherlands, restoring Henry VI to the throne.   This particular time in history and the events surrounding the Kingmaker are extremely well documented,  many of you would have seen the TV adaptation of The White Queen last year, which highlighted many events of the period.

Manorial Counsel Limited often read about The Kingmaker, King Edward IV, and King Henry VI and later Edward V, it is a fascinating period of history, surrounded in conspiracy and plot.
